BEFORE YOU SIGN UP

LocalMinds brings small groups of people together in real life. We compose tables based on age range, interests, conversation style, language, and overall group balance, then bring people together over coffee in Amman.

No. LocalMinds is not a dating app. We bring small groups of people together for conversation, not one-on-one matching. No swiping, no attraction-based matching, and no pressure for the table to become anything other than a good conversation.

Not at all. Most people come alone. The experience is designed for people who are open to meeting new people in a calm, friendly setting.

People from different backgrounds join LocalMinds: professionals, founders, students, creatives, and people simply looking for better conversations and new social circles.

What they usually have in common is openness, curiosity, and the willingness to meet people in real life.

Yes. The minimum age is 18, and we curate tables for people across different ages and life stages. Age range is one of the factors we use when composing tables, so each group feels balanced and comfortable. One of our favorite facts is that our oldest community member so far is 74 years old.

For now, LocalMinds is mainly active in Amman. We are building from here and plan to expand to more cities over time.

HOW IT WORKS

You download the LocalMinds app, choose an available meetup, and confirm your seat. We then compose tables based on age range, interests, conversation style, language, and overall group balance.

Before the meetup, we send you the cafe location and your table details.

We use what people share in the form, supported by our matching process and human judgment, to compose each table with intention.

The goal is not to make everyone identical. It is to create the right mix: enough similarity for comfort, enough difference for conversation, and enough openness for the table to become its own thing.

Most tables have five to eight people. This keeps the conversation small enough to feel personal, but large enough to feel relaxed and natural.

You will not know much about the people at your table in advance. Holding back some information is part of the experience. It helps people arrive more open, less scripted, and more ready to discover the table in person.

No, you cannot choose who sits at your table. LocalMinds composes each table based on the information people share in the form, including age range, interests, conversation style, language, and overall group balance.

We also do not share personal information about other community members before the meetup.

Yes, you can come with a friend, but please let us know in advance. We will do our best to seat you together, depending on the table structure and matching.

Most meetups are in Arabic, English, or a mix of both. We ask about language preference during registration so we can place people more thoughtfully.

We do our best to create balanced tables whenever possible. Since every meetup depends on who registers and confirms, the balance may vary, but we always try to create the best possible table.
